Before I get too deep into this newsletter, I want to let you know the first episode of The Beautiful Mind in the Beautiful Game, a collaboration I did with my good friend and former professional soccer player, Chris Wehan, is now live. Click below for the episode in which we go in depth on the parent/athlete dynamic and how to best support your child.
Back to the west...
In order to manifest, whether it is a new way of being or something material, involves a shift of energy.
If you want a new couch for your house, you first have to get rid of the old one, or at least move it to a different place.
If you want to lose weight, you have to change certain habits like to stop eating and/or drinking certain things, and adding or changing exercise routines.
The patterns, attachments, and habits that stagnate you or hold you back can be thought of as energy leaks.
When you clear those, you then create room for newness in your life.
One exercise I share in Raising Resilient Athletes guides you through releasing what no longer serves you and anchoring what you most want to manifest. How does this benefit your athlete?
Because you are the foundation your children grow from.
The more clear you are, the more you model your own resiliency and how you navigate through life with more true strength, trust, and confidence.
When you embody that, everyone around you feels it and becomes stronger.
Your athlete especially learns not just from your words, but from your energy and presence.
This season is an invitation to let go of what weighs you down and step fully into the version of yourself that your player, your family, and you have been waiting for.
If you’re ready to shift your energy, elevate your culture, and transform the way you and your athlete show up in sport and in life—this is where it begins.
