Reaching more empowerment
this season
Hi !
The past month seemed more intense than even what the past few years were.
From physical conflict to political division to environmental chaos, not to forget your own personal life, there are so many opportunities to become entangled in
the energy of fear.
Fear is always the deeply rooted frequency and can show up that way, however it also manifests as:
anger
hatred
judgement
wanting control
distracting oneself
and procrastination, among many other emotions and behaviors.
Fear is the path to the "dark side", and it can also be alchemised into deeper inner strength and confidence.
This season of winter, the direction of the north in the Native American medicine wheel, tends to give you opportunities to go through "bids for power".
As is typical with growth, in order to do that you have to push past discomfort.
Take a moment to reflect on any kind of changes or decisions you have to make in your life lately, or
within yourself, and what emotions and thoughts come up for you.
This is a great opportunity for your next growth edge.
How to navigate through it?
Firstly, it is important to be radically honest with yourself and identify any fears that come up from what you are working through.
This can be difficult to do on your own.
From my personal experience, a good practitioner can help you see what you are unable to see and potentially help you push past that discomfort.
It's no different than having an athletic coach to push you, although people seem to
be more comfortable facing physical discomfort than mental or emotional.
It is way more challenging for many people to sit with guilt, shame, and sift through childhood memories than it is to sit in an ice bath or run 20 sets of 120 yards in 12 minutes.
The power that thoughts hold is incredibly amazing.
When you simply acknowledge the fear based thoughts, it becomes easier to take the next step of changing what you can.
I wrote "easier", although it can still be difficult.
Ultimately, the answer is to just do it.
You will develop so much confidence,
especially the more challenging it is for you.
Success is not achieved with a fearful mentality
Jump off that cliff.
Make that decision
Have that conversation
Purposefully place yourself in uncomfortable
situations
Come up with your reason why this is important for you, write it down, and remind yourself daily.
