This is the time to tend to your soil
Hi !
I hope you're well and off to a great 2024 so far.
If you're in the northern hemisphere, you are a bit over 1/3 of your way through the winter season, also known as the "Spirit of the north" in the Native American Medicine Wheel.
The fall/west was all about letting go of, or changing what is no longer serving you and accepting what you cannot change.
Accomplishing the tasks of the west stops you from leaking valuable personal energy.
When you let go and change what you can, it creates room for newness and it can be whatever you choose.
Some people let go of something in their life and unconsciously
fill it with the same or similar (or worse) frequency:
-end one relationship and jump into another one with the same dynamic,
-stop one unhelpful habit and start another one, etc.
But, if done with patience and consciousness (which takes healing deep rooted issues), you can choose to fill that space with something better suited for you....something more powerful.
Building your personal strength is what the
winter/north is about.
It's important to do this now because it fertilizes your personal soil so the energetic seeds you plant for yourself in the spring will grow beautifully during the summer.
If you don't tend to your soil in healthy ways, your "energetic crops" will be lackluster.
I doubt you want to feel that way and that you want something better for yourself.
Your power lies in your discomfort.
It is the best way to grow and not always the easiest.
Think about your life and when
you became more empowered and confident with who you are.
It was very likely at times when you faced major challenges.
You can decide to only grow when life's challenges
inevitably show up in your life, and you can also choose to become more powerful at any time by putting yourself in certain situations:
Allowing yourself to sit with and deeply feel difficult emotions- grief, sadness, shame, guilt, etc.
Being honest and vulnerable with yourself and to others- especially your children and partner
Making a job or career change
Setting a firm boundary with someone
Spending money on your mental and emotional well-being
Quitting a habit that is not beneficial to you or others
Putting your body through physical discomfort (in a conscious and safe way)
All of these will make you stronger and more powerful.
What results is a deep rooted sense of confidence and a belief that you can handle any situation in your life.
Relationships become better and more fulfilling.
If you choose to focus on them, your physical and mental health skyrocket.
It's up to you of course.
Just like going to the gym and working out on your own is helpful, having a personal trainer leads you to bigger results.
