What it takes to become more powerful
Hi !
If you tuned into my last newsletter a couple weeks ago, I wrote to you about the power of the winter season, also known as the "north" in the Native American medicine wheel.
In case you missed it or want a refresher,

Perhaps you noticed certain opportunities come up for you recently that rub up against your comfort zone.
Anxiety and unease typically accompany these possibilities and decisions.
In reality, this is a "bid for power".
In order to become stronger, whether it's mentally, emotionally, spiritually, or physically, you have to push past your comfort zone and come face-to-face with your discomfort.
That can be challenging but is ultimately what needs to happen.
The easy piece of advice I can give you is- you just do it.
Every time I go cliff jumping, when at the first jump of the day I usually experience some hesitation and remind myself- you just do it...
take that step and just go.
My children and many others like them have less fear to do this.
As an intellectually centered person, that can be difficult because we (I say we because I am one) analyze all the possibilities of what can happen.
The ego speaks up, sometimes loudly, in order to keep you protected.
Physical safety, including staying alive, is of course very important, however the false-self often stunts your personal growth.
It talks to you and feeds you so many fear based thoughts, such as:
"Even though this situation is not good for you, it's better than the unknown."
"You don't want to say what's really on your mind. What if that person gets angry/upset and then won't love you like you're craving to be loved? It would be just like your childhood when
you didn't feel loved the way you needed to and there's no way you can risk feeling like that again."
"Whatever you do, don't apologize and don't take responsibility for what you said or did. Make some rationalization and excuse. You don't want to be vulnerable and admit you were wrong; that basically admits you're a
bad person."
If you set the intention to and slow down enough and take a break from all the distractions in your life, you can become aware of this false-self part of you.
You become both the one who creates this type of thinking and also the observer of the thoughts.
This is a huge step in your awakening because it signifies you are getting to know yourself on a deeper level.
The volume of your ego becomes more and more faint the more personal work you do.
You laugh more and more at all the things you know are not beneficial that pop into your mind.
You'll notice
your true-self, your essence, is the one driving your personal ship and not your false-self.
You're more calm and more at peace.
Your love for yourself grows and grows.
You know and feel as if you are good enough...there is no doubt.
You feel balanced in your body, with your thoughts, and
emotions.
You are your safe place.
You feel more and more limitless.
You are powerful.
It always starts with an intention to become aware and to reverse the damaging programing you received in the early part of your life.
Take that jump, it's more than worth it, I promise.
This is the season for your bid for power...go for it!
I'm here for you if you feel I am a fit for you.
