How to shift your mentality
of needing to be perfect
Hi !
Last week I wrote to you about perfectionism, generally where it comes from, and a quick exercise to help you realize your life
doesn't fall apart when you make mistakes.
If you didn't get or take a chance to read it, or want to refresh your memory,

One item I wrote about to help let go of the idea of perfectionism is
to re-frame that impossible idea to one of "Mastery".
The idea of mastery is to gain command of certain skills, which can also include way of living.
Perfectionism on the other hand is a concern of flawlessness as well as obsession (conscious or unconscious) of how others perceive you.
Both of these involve high focus on the small details.
However, while the perfectionist has a high-level of concern of getting the "little things" flawless, the master understands they are important and that imperfection is part of
the journey.
Mastery involves knowing perfectionism is unnecessary and often unattainable.
In fact, mistakes only make you better, not weaker.
Knowing this on a conscious and subconscious level allows you to be more deeply rooted in your innate personal
power, which means you achieve more success and have an abundance of confidence.
When you overly worry about mistakes, or your thoughts about how your partner, family, friends, or strangers perceive you, you constrict your life force energy.
This includes how you perceive yourself as well.
Some of your ability and talent comes out, and you end up holding the rest of it back because of deep rooted fear.
Mastery of life includes the mastery of your thoughts- observing them and even laughing at your old
programming that no longer serves you.
It includes the determination to ride the most challenging waves of emotions- truly welcoming and sitting with them; not bypassing, not denying, not suppressing, not distracting.
Part of mastery of life is seeing yourself and everyone as a unique expression of spirit and that you are connected to everyone and everything.
When you remember to do that, you take what other people do and say much less personally.
The more you do that, you have less fear to have those difficult
conversations, to show up the way you want to in life, to open your heart to others, including most importantly:
to yourself
When you master the art of loving yourself more and more and more and more, you open up your faucet of your life force energy so that it gushes out of you and you can truly show up the way you want to in life.
Who do you truly want to be?
What do you really want to do?
How much can you open your heart to yourself and others?
It always takes healing at a deep level and being more aware of and honest with yourself in order to master life and feel fulfilled.
I'd love to help you on your journey, whether it's:
